Now that Linux is beginning to show up in more mission-critical and business critical environments, do you think most companies are running these application on the most reliable platforms? Do you see any benefits of running Linux on a fault-tolerant server?

Is Stratus running RHEL 5? If not, when are you planning on supporting it?
RHEL 5 is not currently supported on the Stratus ftServer family. We are looking at the July 2008 time frame for support.
I think Linux really has become accepted in corporate and government data centers. I'd guess that its being deployed primarily on white box servers, and also being clustered for apps requiring high availability. Linux on a fault-tolerant server is certainly a quicker, simpler solution for mission-critical applications.
The IT community still seems cautious about getting applications off UNIX and moving them to Linux. It will happen eventually, no doubt, but a technology biases remain. Old habits are hard to break!
